A protein tracker that keeps everything on your phone.
Email ntbretschneider@gmail.com and you'll get a reply. Including your iOS version and what you were doing at the time makes it much faster to work out what happened.
Tapping a food on the Log tab records one serving. Press and hold it and choose Choose amount… to log three eggs, half a shake, or 150 g instead of 100. You can also change the amount afterwards by tapping the entry.
The serving defines the food. Chicken breast is 31 g of protein per 100 g, an egg is 6 g per egg. The amount is just how much you had this time. Set the serving once when you create the food; change the amount whenever you log it.
If the other app saved to Apple Health, yes. Settings ▸ Import from Apple Health pulls in every protein record written by other apps and files each one under the day it happened. Importing twice is safe. Records already in Grams are updated, not duplicated.
If the import finds nothing but you expected records, check Settings ▸ Health ▸ Data Access & Devices ▸ Grams and make sure reading protein is allowed. Apple deliberately never tells an app whether read permission was refused, so Grams genuinely cannot tell the difference between "denied" and "nothing there".
Tap the entry and change the Day. Both days' totals update. To log directly to a past day, tap that day in the week strip first, and the add sheet will tell you which day it's writing to.
Press and hold a day in the week strip and choose Skip this day. Skipped days are removed from every average and from the success rate entirely. Not counted as a zero, not counted at all. Use them for days that shouldn't be judged.
No, and it never will. Every entry stores what the food was worth at the moment you logged it. Correcting a food affects future entries only.
Open Grams once. The widget renders from a snapshot the app writes, plus anything logged from the widget since. Opening the app republishes it. If the widget shows zero after a fresh install, it usually means the app hasn't been launched yet.
Settings ▸ Erase all data and start over. It deletes everything on the phone and returns to setup. Export first if there's anything you want to keep.
Privacy policy. The short version is that Grams collects nothing and has no networking code at all.
